Mr. Kenneth J. Konkin, P.Geo., was instrumental in the discovery of the Valley of the Kings eight-million-ounce gold deposit, now owned by Newmont. He brings over 40 years of geological experience across North America, South America, and Russia. Mr. Konkin spent 19 years with Silver Standard Resources, where he managed advanced exploration programs at Manantial Espejo in Argentina; San Luis and Berenguela in Peru; and the Snowfields project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle. He is a co-recipient of the prestigious H.H. (Spud) Huestis Award for excellence in prospecting and mineral exploration in British Columbia and Yukon. Currently, Mr. Konkin serves as Senior Vice President, Exploration, for Tudor Gold Corp. At the Treaty Creek project, located in the heart of the Golden Triangle, he led the exploration team responsible for discovering one of the world’s largest gold-copper deposits of the past 30 years. Mr. Konkin holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of British Columbia and is a registered Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
